This is a heart in a book, not one, but full of them, one for each time we kept our emotions and feelings hidden instead of voicing them up and lose the chance to be happy。This is a story about family, friendship and love; told with real characters that will be impossible not to connect and want to be part of their lives。 You’ll fall for them and their stories, wanting the book to never end, believe me。This is the story of Amber and Lachland, they have been friends since they were young, now the This is a heart in a book, not one, but full of them, one for each time we kept our emotions and feelings hidden instead of voicing them up and lose the chance to be happy。This is a story about family, friendship and love; told with real characters that will be impossible not to connect and want to be part of their lives。 You’ll fall for them and their stories, wanting the book to never end, believe me。This is the story of Amber and Lachland, they have been friends since they were young, now they’ll have the chance to be something more if they are not afraid to speak up their feelings。 But, is it worth it? Lose a lifetime friendship for something more or lose everything all together?I don’t think I’ve ever read a book so full of love and hope, not in a cheesy way but realistic and human。 Amber and Lachland will not be the only couple we’ll meet in this book, also Raffaele and Vee, and Teddy and Olga… I’ll admit that it’s difficult to choose a favorite character or story, they all have something special in them, but with faults and problems, like life。Love doesn’t have age, only hope and being fearless to take a step to the unknown。 You never know if it will work or not, but if you don’t take the chance, it will never work。This is a book to take your fear away and make you believe in happiness。 Are you ready for “Should I Tell You”? 。。。more

I’m a very long-term fan of Jill Mansell’s books and was very excited to receive an ARC of this, her latest novel。This delightful book is set in the fictional Cornish town of Lanrock where Raffaele, Lachlan and Amber were taken in as foster children by Teddy and May。 As adults, they’ve all made it back to Lanrock (which sounds idyllic) with their own careers established but some hiccups in their personal lives。 May has passed away and Teddy has met a mysterious Russian on a cruise, Lachlan can’t I’m a very long-term fan of Jill Mansell’s books and was very excited to receive an ARC of this, her latest novel。This delightful book is set in the fictional Cornish town of Lanrock where Raffaele, Lachlan and Amber were taken in as foster children by Teddy and May。 As adults, they’ve all made it back to Lanrock (which sounds idyllic) with their own careers established but some hiccups in their personal lives。 May has passed away and Teddy has met a mysterious Russian on a cruise, Lachlan can’t maintain a relationship, Raffaele is a celebrity hairdresser with a volatile partner and Amber…well she’s in love with Lachlan。The book follows the twists and turns of their lives。 There’s a very positive cosiness and optimism threaded through the stories, I was pretty confident that most of the threads would work out well。 I’m a bit of a sucker for these kind of books。 We’ve had a pretty depressing couple of years, and this is the antidote。 I’d happily jack it all in tomorrow and move to Lanrock。 I’d have my eyelashes done by Olga, eat in Lachlan’s restaurant and hang out with any of the supporting characters。 I hope this book is going to be the setting for future novels。 。。。more

One thing I do like to see in a book is a map of the area, showing locations e。g。 pubs, the houses that characters live in etc and on opening this book I found one, I find it welcoming and makes me able to get immersed in the location immediately and this book was easy to get immersed into anyway and very soon I was getting to know the main characters of Lachlan, Amber and Raffaele, who are all good friends after they all met in Lanrock when they were taken in by Teddy and May as teenagers。 Thei One thing I do like to see in a book is a map of the area, showing locations e。g。 pubs, the houses that characters live in etc and on opening this book I found one, I find it welcoming and makes me able to get immersed in the location immediately and this book was easy to get immersed into anyway and very soon I was getting to know the main characters of Lachlan, Amber and Raffaele, who are all good friends after they all met in Lanrock when they were taken in by Teddy and May as teenagers。 Their foster parents were really good to them and they grew up in the lovely Cornish seaside town as well adjusted young people。 Now twenty years later May has passed and Teddy has found a new lady friend in Olga and the three friends don't know what to make of her, is she just after Teddy's money? Raffaele is nursing bad romantic memories after he thought he had found his soulmate in Vee, but things went downhill when it was suggested that they went into a hairdressing partnership together! Amber runs a successful stained glass studio in Lanrock and Lachlan a restaurant called McCarthy's。 They are all well known and liked members of the community and pull together in times of crisis。 A really enjoyable read, with interesting characters, each with their own stories to tell, some sad and some extremely funny, but it makes them all part of this story。 All the time you realise that everyone in this story has a secret to hide and there is someone who is wondering whether to tell their secret, or keep it to themselves and questions are asked, should I tell you?A lovely story with likeable characters in a gorgeous location, what is there not to like, a 5 star read from me。 。。。more

A real feel-good read。Amber, Raffaele and Lachlan did not have the best start in life but were given a loving home by foster parents May and Teddy in beautiful Cornwall。 Now adults and pursuing their chosen careers, there is a strong bond between them and with Teddy now widowed。When a flamboyant, colourful, larger than life woman returns with Teddy from a cruise, Amber, Raffaele and Lachlan are immediately suspicious of her intentions and immediately swing into protect Teddy mode, despite the fa A real feel-good read。Amber, Raffaele and Lachlan did not have the best start in life but were given a loving home by foster parents May and Teddy in beautiful Cornwall。 Now adults and pursuing their chosen careers, there is a strong bond between them and with Teddy now widowed。When a flamboyant, colourful, larger than life woman returns with Teddy from a cruise, Amber, Raffaele and Lachlan are immediately suspicious of her intentions and immediately swing into protect Teddy mode, despite the fact they have not seen Teddy so happy in a long time。 Meanwhile the dynamics between the three friends is shifting, as Amber realises that she is in love with Lachlan, but should she tell him and risk their friendship? This is an uplifting story of protection, respect, love, hope and new beginnings, in a beautiful well described setting。Many thanks to the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review。 。。。more
